The government is fully aware of the difficult conditions that citizens incur economic hardship auction zip and will work harder to fight the high unemployment rate and the negative impact of poverty in our society to tackle, Pres. Hifikepunye Pohamba said in his New Year message.
"We will continue to get better and more effective cooperation between government offices, ministries and agencies to enforce to ensure the full implementation of the cabinet decision aimed to improve the living conditions of our people," Pohamba said.
"Whether you're a subsistence farmer, auction zip or in the public or private sector jobs or work for yourself, we all need to work hard and strive at all times to do the best. This is the only way we face the challenges of can overcome our nation auction zip and our communities. "
The president said he is grateful and proud that Namibia still enjoy peace and stability. "This has made it possible for our government to implement policies that aims to improve the living conditions auction zip of our people and Namibia a better and more prosperous society."
He has called on the nation to promote peace and stability and to pursue the spirit of national reconciliation. "These are the conditions for social and economic progress. Without peace and stability, development an impossible goal to achieve."
The president said the government's highlights in 2012 was the fourth National Development Plan (NDP4), the completion of the 2011 national auction zip census, the national education conference and Namibia hosts the international investment conference.
He said there was good progress in the provision of health care, education, housing, sanitation and electricity. Social support services for the benefit of expanded veterans of the liberation struggle, as well as senior citizens, the disabled, orphans and vulnerable children.
According to the president, the government will continue in 2013 to focus on priority areas such as job creation, improved public service delivery to improve the living conditions of Namibians and the expansion of physical and telecommunications.
