In accordance with art. 258, first paragraph, of the Treaty on European Union, the European Commission issued a reasoned opinion on the case of "infringement" police auction cars on that by establishing hunting periods that do not provide a comprehensive protection scheme, Romania has not met obligations laid down in Art. 7 paragraph. Changing the calculation of management fees the sole criterion of potential hunting land and not harvest quotas as currently envisaged in Law. 407/2006, as amended and supplemented, will lead to a superior game management and increased revenue for the state budget to fund environmental and land owners.
Law on hunting and wildlife protection fund no. 407/2006, published in Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 944 of 22 November 2006, as amended and supplemented, police auction cars amended and supplemented as follows:
